In 2007, following his entrepreneurial spirit, Young stepped away from finance to open a fast-casual restaurant. The timing, however, coincided with the 2008 financial crisis. Though the business ultimately closed, the experience taught him resilience, humility, and the value of learning through challenges—qualities that continue to define his professional philosophy today.
Returning to financial services, Young brought renewed purpose and a deeper understanding of the personal and emotional side of financial decision-making. After surviving a near-death experience with COVID-19, he embraced a renewed spiritual path and lives as a reborn Christian, grounded in gratitude and purpose.
