Matt Chase

Born and raised in the Bay Area, California, Matt began following in his father’s footsteps at just nine years old when he started auto racing. By the age of 14, he had worked his way up to the professional level, earning both state and national championship titles while competing under prestigious teams across Europe and the United States. His journey wasn’t without sacrifice, his family gave everything they had to support his dream, even when that meant Top Ramen was often the only thing on the dinner table.

Matt later moved to Santa Barbara for college, where he fell in love with the Central Coast. The region’s slower pace, strong sense of community, and connection to nature perfectly matched his lifestyle of surfing, being outdoors, and living with intention. His travels around the world further shaped his outlook and deepening his appreciation for different cultures, global cuisine, and the shared humanity he found in people from all walks of life.

An independent overachiever from a young age, Matt’s life took an unexpected turn in 2020 when he was diagnosed with late-stage leukemia. Finding himself in need of help for the first time, he was overwhelmed by the love and support from his community throughout his fight to remission. That experience changed everything. Inspired to give back, Matt set his life’s mission to help others overcome their challenges, especially financial ones, a struggle he knew well from his family’s sacrifices during his racing years.

Today, as part of Anacapa Financial, Matt is committed to helping individuals and families grow and protect their hard-earned assets with integrity, safety, and determination. His greatest accomplishment is not a racing trophy or professional milestone, it’s regaining the gift of life and using it to make a difference in others’ lives.

When he’s not working, you’ll find Matt out in the water surfing or in the kitchen cooking and more often than not, he'll likely ask you over for dinner.
